JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Scheduler (Work Management) is responsible for managing schedule exceptions for simple projects, including both short- and long-cycle work, using scheduling software. The role ensures efficient dispatching of crews and the resolution of scheduling conflicts, while serving as a liaison between field operations, dispatch, and internal departments.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage exceptions to the scheduling software and generate schedules for simple projects.
• Coordinate with supervisors to resolve scheduling issues and prioritize work.
• Monitor communication channels (radio, phone, and system messages) and relay schedule adjustments to field crews.
• Dispatch work post-departure using scheduling software; adjust crews as needed.
• Contact customers to resolve access issues and complaints.
• Identify scheduling deficiencies and recommend conflict resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal departments and the Gas Dispatch Center to plan and adjust resources.
• Serve as a member of the Incident Response Team for emergency response coordination.
• This position may require to work shifts for 24/7 coverage, when needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 0 to 2 years of related experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organizational structure.
• Experience or training in scheduling, maintenance, or construction practices.
