Gas Transportation Analyst
Position overview
Delta Utilities is seeking a gas transportation analyst to administer the company’s transportation business, including but not limited to contract lifecycle management, imbalance resolution, shipper and customer communications, and regulatory support functions for the organization. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the gas distribution system is maintained through compliance with approved tariffs and company policies. In addition, the individual will be responsible for the contract administration functions for approximately 400 customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a working knowledge of company owned assets across multiple states to be able to monitor customer contract imbalances, communicate with shippers when adjustments are needed and facilitate daily reporting with gas supply team
- Coordinate with customers and shippers to set up and manage transportation contracts, pooling agreements, cashouts and document retention
- Utilize internal ETRM system as well as external pipeline electronic bulletin boards to track daily customer nominations and usage
- Document, organize, and summarize customer information data for internal reporting.
- Collaborate with other internal departments for the facilitation of timely accounts receivable, managing credit risk, and utilizing accepted accounting principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, mathematics, engineering, or related field required
- Natural gas industry experience preferred
- Experience with trading risk management system preferred
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
