Position overview

Delta Utilities is seeking a gas supply representative to administer the short-term and long-term gas supply purchase plans, invoice settlement and regulatory support functions for the organization. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.  

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of economic, prudent, and reliable gas supply for Delta Utilities’ customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of company owned assets across multiple states to be able to ensure economic, prudent, and reliable gas supply for Delta Utilities’ customers
• Coordinate gas supply plan with suppliers, upstream pipelines, third-party transporters and gas control
• Utilize internal ETRM system as well as external pipeline electronic bulletin boards to track gas purchases, transportation utilization and storage levels
• Document, organize, and summarize gas cost data for regulatory filings
• Collaborate with other internal departments for the facilitation of invoice payments, managing credit risk, and utilizing accepted accounting principles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, mathematics, engineering, or related field required
• Natural gas industry experience preferred
• Experience with trading risk management system preferred
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
