Manager, Revenue Management
Position Overview
***This position can be filled at the Manager or Sr. Manager level depending on candidate knowledge, skills and abilities.***
Delta Utilities is seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in managing customer billing, payment, and credit policies, procedures, and controls. This position is pivotal in ensuring Delta Utilities’ compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and tariffs while adapting policies and practices to align with changes in external requirements.
The ideal candidate will be a visible, customer-centric leader aligned with Delta Utilities' mission and values, with a focus on fostering innovation and team collaboration. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance & Protection:
- Manage the overall quality assurance of billing, payment, and credit work.
- Collaborate with BPO service providers, Finance, and Meter Services to minimize losses from unbilled revenues, arrears, and bad debt.
- Oversee the revenue protection program to address theft or unbilled accounts and recover lost revenues effectively.
System Management & Data Oversight:
- Lead the design, functionality, and data quality for CRM platforms (e.g., Oracle) and related systems supporting Customer Operations.
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality of customer systems through hands-on involvement in system design, conversions, and data validation.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
- Develop and implement billing and credit-related regulatory strategies in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs and Customer Operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including SOX reporting, PCI DSS, FACTA, NACHA, and other banking rules, in coordination with the Office of General Counsel and Internal Audit.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc regulatory reports on billing and credit data for commissions and internal/external stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor employees, fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity and innovation.
- Define team KPIs and hold team members accountable for results through effective performance appraisals and feedback.
- Address complaints and resolve problems to enhance team cohesion and efficiency.
Strategic Partnerships & Contract Management:
- Manage contracts and relationships with third-party payment processors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with advocacy agencies and regulators to maintain positive relationships and align on policy changes.
Innovation in Loss Prevention:
- Develop data-driven strategies to detect, resolve, and prevent revenue losses by leveraging internal/external analytics tools and investigative approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced coursework or a post-graduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years in revenue cycle management, accounts receivable, or related areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consumer billing, credit, and payment regulations.
- Previous experience working with Oracle CRM or similar systems.
- Experience negotiating with advocacy agencies or regulators preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and data analytics software.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize customer information systems.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership, project management, and conflict resolution abilities.
- A track record of fostering innovation and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with systems design, conversions, and data validation.

Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, the utility will serve nearly 600,000 customers and become one of the leading natural gas providers in Louisiana and Mississippi and among the top 40 providers in the United States.
In 2023, Entergy announced that it had entered into an agreement with Delta Utilities to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business. The natural gas utility currently serves more than 200,000 customers across East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes.
