Director, Marketing

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Delta Utilities is seeking a Director of Marketing will lead Delta Utilities' marketing strategy during a pivotal growth period, including our upcoming transition to assume gas distribution operations in key service areas. This leadership position will oversee all marketing functions, including brand implementation, customer communications, digital marketing, and market analysis to drive customer acquisition and retention.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Delta Utilities' business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead marketing efforts around service transitions, helping to ensure smooth customer experiences during utility provider changes.
  • Oversee the development of compelling messaging that clearly communicates Delta's value proposition and service benefits.
  • Direct the creation of marketing materials, including digital content, direct mail, advertising, and customer communications.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure consistent messaging and positive customer experiences.
  • Design and implement market research initiatives to better understand customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Track marketing performance using relevant KPIs and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Represent Delta Utilities at industry events, community forums and other events.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.


Minimum experience required of the position

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

  • Experience in utilities, energy, or related regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Proven track record developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns, particularly during business transitions
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, traditional media, and integrated marketing approaches
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex utility information into clear customer messaging
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making approach
