Specialist, Digital Communications

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Delta Utilities is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Digital Communications Specialist to support the execution and maintenance of digital initiatives across web, social media, and other digital platforms. This role will help ensure a smooth and engaging digital experience for customers, particularly during our service expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of digital tools and a passion for improving customer interactions through digital channels.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Support & Execution

  • Assist in carrying out digital activities that align with Delta Utilities' goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain and update the company website to ensure content is accurate and user-friendly.
  • Track and report on basic digital performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Research digital trends and tools relevant to the utility industry and share findings with the team.

Customer Experience

  • Help implement user-friendly digital features that improve customer interactions.
  • Support the setup of digital onboarding materials for new customers transitioning from Entergy.
  • Coordinate with customer service teams to ensure digital tools meet customer needs.
  • Review customer feedback and journey data to suggest improvements to digital touchpoints.
  • Assist in tailoring content and experiences for different customer groups.

Content Management

  • Upload and manage digital content across platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Help organize and schedule content that informs customers about services and updates.
  • Use content management systems to publish and maintain digital assets.
  • Check that all content is accessible and mobile-friendly.
  • Work with Communications and Marketing teams to align messaging across channels.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Schedule and post content on social media platforms and monitor basic engagement metrics.
  • Use analytics tools to gather data on digital performance and assist in preparing reports.
  • Help optimize digital channels based on performance insights and user behavior.

Technology & Platform Coordination

  • Collaborate with IT to report technical issues and ensure digital platforms are functioning properly.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or agencies on digital tasks as needed.
  • Test and provide feedback on new digital tools or platform updates.
  • Assist in tracking progress of digital projects and maintaining documentation.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree in digital media, marketing, communications or related field

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, web content management, or a related role.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media management tools.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, digital marketing principles, and customer experience best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
