Director, Enterprise Applications
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for overseeing the strategy, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide applications. This role ensures that the organization's software systems support business operations and objectives effectively and efficiently. The Director will lead a team of application specialists and collaborate with various departments to optimize the use of technology solutions.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for enterprise applications that aligns with the company's business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of application developers, analysts, and support staff.
- Oversee the implementation of new applications and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
- Ensure seamless integration of enterprise applications with other IT systems and platforms.
- Develop and manage the budget for the enterprise applications department.
- Ensure that all applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Provide high-level support and training to end-users to maximize the effectiveness of enterprise applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing enterprise applications.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
- Proficiency in enterprise application platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), project management software, and database management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects from inception to completion.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
- Preferred Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.
