Specialist, Fleet Support
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Delta Utilities is seeking a Fleet Support Specialist to provide support in a variety of complex functions related to fleet acquisition, maintenance, operating and ownership activities in the Fleet Services Department. The Fleet Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing fleet performance. This role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, managing fuel systems, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient fleet operations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process invoicing for payment to meet vendor schedule and retain accounts in good standing. Interaction with various departments and timely results are required.
- Manage internal and external fuel resources and associated assets.
- Adhere to federal, state and local governing rules and laws in conjunction with the operation, maintenance and ownership of fleet.
- Manage warranty programs that are detailed and specific to make and models and governed by different submission requirements.
- Manage activities associated with the support functions of purchasing and capitalizing fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring that vehicle/equipment preventative maintenance and statutory inspection data is accurately maintained and reported.
- Manage date extraction, analysis and reporting to satisfy regulatory and business requirements.
- Participating as the liaison between Fleet Services and Client Divisions as the main point of contact for communication of data requests, reports and developing client relations.
- Identify, accumulate, and compile statistical data using mathematical computations. Transcribe the data to reports, charts, forms, and effective presentations.
- Develops, analyzes, and reports trends for various financial and non-financial factors, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and statistical reports related to FSR assets, asset utilization, work management, client usage and regulatory compliance.
- Administration of master data in various FSR systems/applications including ensuring uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency, and accountability of shared data.
- Supports day-to-day functions related to acquisition, ownership, maintenance, and retirement of assets.
- Assist management in the assessment and development of financial transactions such as forecasting, planning, journal corrections, system uploads, cost reviews and documentation.
- Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
- Prepare recommendations or other documents to adequately document decision making information.
- Research, responds to and/or completes special project assignments, as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in fleet management or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum experience required of the position
- 2-5 years of experience in Fleet management, or a related field.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
- Able to perform special assignments outside of assigned responsibilities.
- Must be able to work effectively and cohesively in a team environment
- Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make good judgment decisions that make sense based on available information.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Able to accurately and appropriately interpret data.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and act without specific instructions
- Must be detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and fulfill commitments as well as to ascertain a level of urgency and prioritize work accordingly.
- Must have strong experience and demonstrate abilities using MS Office Products, Excel, Office, Word, Visio and Access using advanced features and techniques.
- Able to document processes and perform daily filing and maintenance of records following corporate guidelines.
- Able to adapt to frequent changes within a high stress work environment.
- Able to handle conflicts and problems in dealing with internal and external customers constructively and appropriately.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
- Certification from the Natural Gas Vehicle Institute or similar organization is desirable.

- Able to be included in random drug screen pool required for DOT drivers and DOT safety sensitive positions.
- May be required to remain in the service area during emergency events and assume responsibilities assigned by the company to aide in restoration efforts
