Analyst, Work Planning and Dispatch
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Analyst, Work Planning & Dispatch will utilize a deep understanding of organizational systems, work processes, regulatory requirements, and statistical methodologies to design, develop, and maintain automated datasets and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau. This position will play a key role in ensuring data integrity and quality across systems that support work planning and dispatch operations.
The Analyst will perform exploratory and advanced data analyses to identify trends, measure performance, and uncover actionable insights that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. In collaboration with stakeholders, the Analyst will develop and implement business cases that apply data-driven insights to improve processes, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen overall productivity and service quality. This role will require strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for continuous learning and innovation. This role is instrumental in enabling departments to effectively utilize and trust organizational data, ensuring that the full potential of data-driven operations is realized.
Please Note: This position can work out of our New Orleans, LA office or our Shreveport, LA office location.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Automated data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources to prepare datasets and visualizations for end users.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and other visualizations to support exploratory analysis and business request.
• Leverage expertise in business systems, processes, and data sets to serve as a champion for improved data quality and accurate data use across the organization.
• Assist in refining and prioritizing work requests (self created and submitted by other business units) to optimize collection and use of data to improve efficiency, improve data quality, improve customer service, and reduce costs.
• Constant, self-motivated pursuit of learning systems, organizational structure, processes, data sets, techniques, etc.
• Operate with direct supervision, guidance, and direction from leadership and senior staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum experience required of the position
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Analytics and/or Dispatching Analysis.
• Use of data visualization software like PowerBI and Tableau
• Experience with Data Warehousing technology like Oracle Databases, SAP HANA, Google BigQuery
• Experience with exploring and visualizing large datasets
• Programming experience in SQL language
• Project management experience
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Preferred:
o Programming experience in language including Python
o Use of corporate systems including but not limited to Maximo, SAP, Service HUB, OnBase, FileNet, ESRI
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated experience in data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, along with solid knowledge of database and data warehousing technologies including Oracle, SAP HANA, and Google BigQuery.
• Excellent ability to develop dashboards, scorecards, and other visualizations to support business needs and exploratory analysis.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data quality, accuracy, and governance.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Physical Requirements
• Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscel-laneous office equipment.
• Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force fre-quently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
